This month’s Mixpak chart comes from one of our favorite JA vocalists, Natalie Storm, who featured on Mixpak releases ‘Look Pon Me’ and ‘Rock The Runway’.

I’m a little sad that I could only choose 10. I have so many songs that I’m feeling right now from both the past and the present. Unfortunately, I can only choose 10 so here’s my 10 songs that still make an impact whenever I listen to them.

1. Trailer Load (Girls Girls) – Shabba Ranks

This song was one of the first songs I knew the words to (well almost). I used to sing my own childish version of the lyrics.

2. Don Dada – Super Cat

My best friend in primary school was related to Supercat. We used to have sleep overs and karaoke sessions to his songs…I couldn’t escape it even if I tried, lol!

3. Rock the Runway – Natalie Storm

I actually recorded this song right after “Look Pon Me”. Always loved it so I’m psyched that it finally came out! Thank you Dre Skull…like seriously, finally! Lol…he knows I’m just messing with him.

4. Bloodstain – Ward 21

Who can forget that deep commanding voice that Suku started this song with? One of my favourite Ward 21 songs. This made me feel like I was a bad gal (in my mind of course)…ready to fight!

5. Jamaica – Vybz Kartel

I have many Kartel favourites but when I heard Kingston, from his Dre Skull produced album, I just thought this is the boss right here! It’s not my favourite Kartel song (as you already know, I like the rude ones), but the mood and feel of this song is just so relaxing, I thought it was a welcome change from the slackness and spoke to something I could identify with.

6. Bathroom Sex – General Echo

When my manager, Dylan Powe, played this song for me for the first time, I instantly fell in love with it. I’ve got a very dirty mind so this was right up my alley.

7. Move yuh Body – Tifa

This Tifa song was so catchy, you couldn’t help moving to it when it came on. It helped me rekindle the wine in my waistline.

8. Only Man She want – Popcaan

‘Only Man She Want’ is the only Popcaan song I like. It came out when I had just started a new relationship and my BF was always saying he’s gonna be the “only man mi want”, I found that extremely hilarious.

9. Fuck the Pain Away – Peaches

I love this song for many reasons. Mainly because it makes me feel sexy and instantly ready for you know what! I listen to it with a class of rum and coke…try it and you’ll know what I mean.

10. Rude Boy – Rihanna

I think “Rude Bwoy” is the hottest song Rihanna ever did. I may be biased because of it’s heavy Dancehall influence, but who could blame me? Every girl wants a rude boy in the bedroom so she know wha she a chat bout…lol.
