This weekend (along with Thread & Good Peoples) we’re bringing a very special guest to Brooklyn – Michael “5000” Watts – the legendary DJ and CEO of influential Houston label, Swisha House.
Along with his team, Michael Watts took chopped & screwed to a national level and became an ambassador for Houston hip hop. He created an impressive and creative independent label from the ground up, launching the careers of Paul Wall & Mike Jones along the way.
Dre Skull has been a longtime fan of the label, and if you’ve seen him out and about you’ll often find him rocking that Swisha House beanie. Here he picks out ten of his favorite tracks. You might even hear them being played by the man himself on Saturday…
