Ms. Thing first made a splash on Beenie Man’s “Dude” a track that hit the mainstream charts and caused quite a stir for being too sexual (she was only 17 years old at the time). In the same year she also released her album “Miss Jamaica” on which she had Dave Kelly, Switch and Vendetta producing for her as well as Vybz Kartel and Allana Leslie laying down vocals on some of the tracks. After taking a short break, Ms. Thing returned to the music business last year and popped up on “When You Hear The Bassline” and “Bruk Out” on the Major Lazer’s debut full-length. This year she teamed up with Mixpak, adding vocals to Dre Skull’s “Smoke Machine Riddim” (see Vybz Kartel’s “Yuh Love”) with newcomer to become Ms Thing & Psycho Tanbad, which resulted in the steamy track “Bonify.”
