Mixpak fam Schlachthofbronx have just released their latest EP for Man Recordings, Carimbo, a 4-track offering once again showing us their bass-driven, versatile style: delving into Nola Bounce and the Brazilian ‘Carimbo’. Their collab with Gnucci Banana, ‘Coolie Fruit’, not only has this karaoke-friendly video, but it’s also up for the free download here. Brand new, beautifully shot video for Toddla T’s ‘Streets So Warm’, featuring Wayne Marshall & Skream. From the Watch Me Dance album, this one dropped just as the riots unfolded in London when the streets really were warm and the question ‘who is to be trusted, the witness or the sarge?’ never seemed more relevant. As expected, Toddla brings the ever-heavy bassline to his UK-JA collaboration.
SL2′s video for “On A Ragga Tip” is a serious jungle blast from the past. This track and other early Break-Beat and Hardcore tunes (including an early Prodigy cut) can be found on XL Recordings’ sixth Chapter Compilation, The American Chapter which was released in 1993.
