Fellow – Run De Dance EP

This Aruban-bred, Netherlands based fellow, Fellow, has just released a free EP packed full of Kuduro, Electro, Soca, Moombahton and big tropical bass sounds. The title track, ‘Run De Dance’ (video below) is a collab with Mad Decent’s Jillionaire, and it knocks, as expected. Fellow explains that the 7-track package was inspired by carnival:

Most of the inspiration for these tracks comes from Aruban Carnival Parades. Since I was a kid I thought Carnival was a whole psychedelic weird creative party experience and I couldn’t really grasp all the lyrics and sounds going on as they all kind of overlap each other while everybody is still dancing away.

The one thing I asked the vocalists to do while I was recording them was “think that you are in a Parade right now and gimme some shouts as you would do to hype up the crowd in the streets”

Vybz Kartel Discusses His Album ‘Kingston Story’ on Hype TV

Vybz Kartel recently appeared on Hype TV to discuss his hotly anticipated upcoming album Kingston Story, produced by Mixpak boss Dre Skull. The first single from the album, ‘Go Go Wine,’ has taken hold as the best selling Kartel track in the US and is currently getting spins in eighteen US radio markets, as it’s presence continues to grow. Vybz Kartel’s Kingston Story is set for release on June 21st on Mixpak Records.

Ding Dong – Chong X Remix

Ding Dong’s badman anthem is one of those tunes that pretty much always smashes down a rave. This remix from Peruvian/Czech DJ Chong X remix gives you a new way of doing that, busting its bpm up to 110 and making it moombah ready. Badman forward!

Aside from making a crazy remix of our Lil Scrappy release, KC also runs some of Paris’ most jukin’ parties, and has some ghetto-house bangers out on the Booty Call record label: ‘Show Me Luv’, ‘Big Butt’, and a ton of poppin’ remixes. His mix is some high energy business, bumping through ghetto tech, juke, miami bass and hard house, not to mention a whole load of unreleased material.
