Mixpak needs you!

We’re about to drop our first full length album – from Vybz Kartel no less – and things are getting busy around Mixpak headquarters. We could really use some help around here. We’re looking for some young writing talent to keep things fresh on the Mixpak blog, so if you’re already a blogger or a budding writer who knows what’s what in music, style or arts, let us know! Or if you’re an internet/php/html geek, we’re looking for you too. You need to be able to commit to writing at least once a week, or for bigger features once a month.

Please email the editor with an example of work, whatever you see fit.

Bullacake (Dubbel Dutch Remix)

Dubbel Dutch celebrates his forthcoming 12″ for NYC imprint Dutty Artz by releasing this cracking remix of Dexplicit’s ‘Bullacake’. The record, out tomorrow on limited white label, not only features 2 original tracks from the Austin producer, but also remixes of Ciara, Deborah Cox and R Kelly. Get it before it sells like a hot bullacake.

Get Low Records CEO Memphis Bleek delivers this laid back ode to his two favourite things: Serato & Blunts. Maybe one day, when technology has moved on this will go into the vaults along with songs about Betamax and Mini-Disc, but for now he’s right on.

Famous Eno on Rinse FM


Famous Eno of Warrior One fame was on Marco Del Horno’s radio show on Rinse FM last week. He really went in on his mix, and highlights included new tracks from Tomb Crew, Last Japan, Lady Chann and Eno himself.
