Mixpak favourite Wildlife! has been locked up in his recording studio for the best part of 2011, which can only mean that 2012 is going to be full of Wildlife goodness, including his debut full length, an EP and other secret projects he has yet to announce. He’s still had time to put together this New Year’s mix of some of his favourite tracks to play out over the past year, including our very own Dubbel Dutch, Melé and Poirier. Run it!

Melé stepped up to the Boiler Room Standard Place takeover a couple of weeks back, delivering a heavy set featuring his own productions, classic garage, house and even a little Daniel Beddingfield. Now the audio from his one hour set is up for the download over at the Boiler Room site – go here to stream or download.

This weekend Dre Skull had a featured mix on Australia’s Triple J radio, alongside other exclusive mixes from Drop The Lime, All The Lights and Diplo. The mix features some forthcoming Mixpak productions from Dubbel Dutch and Bert on Beats, not to mention a ton of white labels and remixes.

The year is 2011 and the vibe on dance floors across the world is that anything goes. Sounds are being chopped up and spliced together as the traditional DJ rulebook sinks beneath the weight of a new, highly eclectic philosophy. Mixpak epitomises this perfectly. Its back catalogue is brimming with electro, dutch house, UK funky, ghetto tech, hip hop and dancehall and provides ammunition for strobe lit big rooms and sweat drenched basements alike.
Mixmag has started a new weekly Scene Selection feature and they’ve chosen Mixpak for the debut. Check out their coverage of us which features an exclusive interview with label boss Dre Skull on what makes Mixpak unique and then check his ‘Mixpak For Mixmag’ mix featuring 100% Mixpak music, including exclusive new music from some of our upcoming releases.

“Go To the Club Alone” is a blazing DJ mix Juiceboxxx just dropped for Free Download. In his own words the mix is “uptempo music trying to tell a lil’ story about heading east and west from the heartland in search of something”. Cop this mix and “Don’t be afraid, go to the club alone.” Track list after the jump.

An absolutely massive new old-school beats mix from Well Rounded Records’ head honcho Donga. Brighton’s Well Rounded have been on the up for a while now, if you don’t know, get to know, and check out their radio show on Hivemind.

DJ and refixer extraordinaire, Smutlee, has given us this exclusive and, needless to say, badass moombahton mix. It’s all his latest edits, which include some unbelievably well-matched tracks: Shermanology & Buju, Ian Carey & Mr Vegas, Bassjackers & Rubi Dan to name but a few. They sit nicely inbetween some hip hop, some Vybz Kartel, a load of moombahton bangers and even some Earth, Wind & Fire. Smutlee’s EP is hitting the streets soon, and if you’re yet to witness him smashing a dancefloor to bits in London, reach!
Thanks to Mr Smutlee for making 112 everyone’s new majic number.
